Born in 1971 in George Town, Penang. Recieved his early training in fashion designing from the MARA University of Technology (UiTM) where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Art and Design (Fashion Design). His pursuit of academic excellence in his beloved field of fashion design had led to Rizalman being awarded the merit award from the Faculty of Art & Design as well as the fashion department of UiTM.

The precocious talent of this young man certainly had not went unnoticed and his career in fashion designing took off straight away when The Batik Malaysia Berhad (BMB) offered him a post as textile and fashion designer. After gaining some valuable experience and as his own confidence grew, that creative soul within him demanded for more creative independence and all of a sudden a step towarsd entrepreneurship seemed inevitable. Thus, in 1995, Rizalman opened his own label "Rizalman Ibrahim". Commercial success and critical appraises followed soon after and the rest, they say, is history.
